5th & 6th Grade Teacher - Mrs. Denise Bandelow

What’s Up in 5th & 6th Grade?

The 1st quarter of the 2007-2008 school year is complete! Fifth graders have quickly adjusted to a new classroom routine. The class is studying the parts of our Lutheran way of worship. They now know the meaning of Votum, Introit, and many other words from the service. We have studied why the colors of the altar paraments change. In math, fractions are being worked daily with continuous review of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems. These reviews are less difficult with a firm knowledge of the basic facts. Our history/geography class is learning about our neighbor to the north – Canada.

Concordia’s Spelling Bee was held Oct. 19th for grades 2-8. Two students in grades 3-8 are going on to an area Spelling Bee at Lutheran High in January. We study the wonders of God’s creation through the many mammals He has placed here on earth. The students are grateful to Concordia Lutheran Church and its members for the opportunity to attend our Lutheran School. Each day faiths are nourished and growing stronger here.

In His service,

Mrs. Denise Bandelow
