PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. The colors can be spectacular; the cooler weather is refreshing; and footballs are flying everywhere. As a family we start making plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas; and at school we start putting together the Christmas program.

With all these joys, it just does not seem right that we still have people in the hospital, families in turmoil, and individuals with all kinds of personal problems. It is easy to question God and ask the big question, "Why?"

God has already answered the question in His Word. On this side of Heaven we will always have difficulties because of sin.

The length of our days is seventy years – or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble, for they quickly pass and we fly away. Psalm 90:10

We live in a fallen world which never will be perfect, but God has promised to be with us through the good and bad times. He will see us through it.

…"And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20b

God bless you all and may we be reminded that God is here in this place!
