News from the 1st & 2nd Graders

Another school year is past! The 1st & 2nd graders had many experiences throughout the years that God has used to mature them in their faith walk as well as educationally. They enjoyed all the reading helpers who worked so faithfully with them all year long. Mrs. Kovalik, Mrs. Scherf, Mr. Creviston, Mrs. Logue, Mrs. Dixon, and Mrs. Irwin gave much time and effort to helping the classes with reading. Thanks also to Mrs. Decker for being our "art lady" once a month. Pastor Koschmann’s Hebrew classes were enriching beyond measure!

One of our last Bible studies as a class was the Pentecost story. Just as the original apostles were sent out to spread the Gospel, the children saw a parallel in that as summer approaches, so they were being prepared to be sent out also. They developed a tract that they have with them to distribute as they travel and move around over the summer. Through the tracts they will be sharing the Gospel message with whoever finds it. They are actively seeking to share Jesus. May we have the same enthusiasm to share Jesus wherever we are this summer!
