Principally Speaking

Christmas seems to be just around the corner and I am sure that preparations have

already begun. With all our preparations, will we remember Christ? In all things God

needs to be the center. Maybe it is a good time to remember our school theme for this

year: "In the beginning, God…" Genesis 1:1. This year, as we start all those plans, let us

not forget Him.

Advent season is a time of preparation, where we prepare our hearts for Christ’s coming; not just as a baby in Bethlehem, but also in the future when He comes to take us home to Heaven. As we get all those family traditions laid out for our children; if they have not included Christ, it would be a great time to change that. We also need to help our children to prepare for Jesus. Advent services, regular worship, Sunday School, family devotions and family discussions about the real meaning of Christmas can make Christ a big part of our family traditions surrounding the holidays.

God bless you this Christmas and have a Christ filled New Year.
