A note from the Principal:
Our theme for this year "In the beginning God created…" Genesis 1:1 reminds us again that we are His creation and He is our creator; therefore, God is certainly worthy of our honor and praise. One way to do this is by regular church attendance.
Concordia’s handbook asks all families to attend church at least twice a month, although, attending worship services should never be based on some rule or law. God has given us the opportunity to worship and to teach our children the importance of regular church attendance . Too many times, we think that going to Church is something we do for God and forget that it is what God does for us. He works forgiveness of sins, life and salvation in us and our children. With that understanding, we can attend Church with a real joy and an anticipation that our children will learn that same joy by our example. Then we can truly say with David, (I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the Lord!" Psalm 122:1)
God bless you all and may we all take the time to worship this week.
-Dan HenschenNOTE:
The next "Charger" will be sent home with our students October 23rd. If you would like to post something in our newsletter, articles need to be in by the Wednesday before they go home to allow time for them to be typed and printed. For more information, please call Lora at 529-3307.
