Many families are probably thinking about summer and what to do for vacation. Family vacation can be a lot of fun and even educational. Sometimes our budget only allows short close to home get-aways or maybe it allows us a big trip; but whatever we do, a vacation should never take us away from worship. No matter where we travel, there is still a church not far away. With a little planning, worship on vacation can be a chance to remind ourselves and our children that Christ is still with us and that He is very important to us even on vacation.
"..that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way
toward him and find him.. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us".
Acts 17:27
God bless you all as we finish this school year knowing that we have a Savior

Weekly Writing Corner:
As seen in Wednesday editions of the SJR.
Topic: Lullaby (05-05-10)
Sleep, sleep tight,
Sleep tight with all your might.
Sleep, sleep tight,
Don’t let the bed bugs bite!
Sleep, sleep tight,
I’m going to turn off the light.
Sleep….Sleep….Tight!
Alec (5th Grade)
My favorite lullaby is Rock-a-By-Baby.
I like Rock-a By-Baby because my mom
used to sing it to me when I was a little kid.
Zack (5th Grade)
Topic: Sports Report
My favorite sport would have to be baseball.
I used to watch it on T.V. with my grandma.
She loved the Cardinals and I love the cubs.
So we would sit together and root for our teams.
My grandma is no longer here, but when it’s time
for baseball you know where I will be, watching the game!
Austin (6th Grade)
My favorite activities are volleyball and
Basketball. In basketball you get to run and do cool plays. In volleyball you work as a team to get the ball over the net. The best part is that the coaches
are great! Alyssa (5th Grade)
