PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING: “Growing in Christ through Worship” is our theme for this year. What a great time of the year to emphasize that with our children. With Easter, confirmation, and other events we can make worship a center of family life. “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalms 100:4
     Please take time to fill out the attached form to let us know what your intentions are for next school year. Return the form to the school office. Classes are getting full so we need to know enrollment in each grade so we do not have to many students in a class and also so we can order the correct amount of textbooks and supplies for next year. 
     God bless you all as we work together to teach His children.

REGISTRATION: Please remember that registration for K-8 for the 2005-20056school year is Sunday, May 21 from 11:15 - 1:00. Please make every effort to come. If you are unable to register on May 21, please notify the school office.

HONORING 35 YEARS OF SERVICE: One of our former school teachers, Mr. Ron Gesch, is completing his 35th year of ministry as a Lutheran school teacher. He will be honored at Immanuel, Higginsville, MO at their annual school concert on Sunday, May 7, 2006.
     If you would like to send a card or note of congratulations, please send it to: Attn: Sue, Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1501 Lipper, Higginsville, MO 64037. If you would like to join them that day, their morning worship is at 10:15am. The concert will begin at 2pm. With the recognition of Ron immediately following. 
     Please remember that they are trying to keep most of their special plans a surprise!

TRANSPORTATION REIMBURSEMENT FORMS: The Illinois Transportation Reimbursement forms are in. Parents may come in anytime during office hours to fill out the form. These forms must be filled out in the office and cannot be sent home. Please remember, you need to know the number of miles from home to school one way. Please come in and fill out your forms by May 26.

SCHOOL PICNIC: We will have a combined school and church picnic on Sunday, May 7, from 11:30 PM until 3:30 PM here at the gym and parking lot. There will be games for both children and adults. All table service, hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass. (Those with last names beginning with A-L please bring a vegetable dish, M-Z please bring a dessert or a snack.) Bring lawn chairs for your seating comfort. Mark this date and join us for fun and fellowship. 

EIGHTH GRADE GRADUATION: Graduation will be held at 7:00 on the last day of school, May 26.

ARE YOUR CHILDREN CYBER-SAFE?: Parents are invited to a special to a special seminar Tuesday evening, May 16, beginning at 6:30pm. Sponsored by Our Savior’s Lutheran School’s PTL. This special presentation will be held in the Parish Hall. This special seminar presented by Agent Chris Lamb from the Springfield FBI office. Agent Lamb will cover topics related to teen use of the Internet, chat rooms, and social networking on such places as MySpace.com. He will also focus on parental controls of teems using the Internet, how to check Internet history and IM conversations, and how to set parental controls. After the presentation, Mr. Brent F. will help parents in the computer lab with “hands on” practice checking Internet history and setting parental controls. Refreshments will be provided by the PTL.
