PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING: Seeing all the visitors and guests last Friday during our lunch helps a person appreciate the support and concern our children have for their Christian education. We as a faculty and staff are very thankful for the time and effort parents, grandparents, and concerned friends give to provide our school with what it needs. It was also good to see the parents enjoying themselves visiting while the children skated during our time at Skateland South. Because our families live distances from each other, we don’t often have the opportunity to just sit and visit.
There are so many areas of education that we could not even begin to provide if it wasn’t for your generosity. Thank you.
As spring comes and opportunities to be outside increase, take time to enjoy God’s beautiful creations. What a wonderful opportunity we have to tell of His glory. “I will tell of all your wonders. I will praise You, O Lord, with all my heart. I will be glad and rejoice in You. I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.” Psalm 9:1-2                                                             Pam Billotte

NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK THANK YOU: The faculty and staff would like to thank the PTL for the “breakfast” they provided each morning for the faculty. The children enjoyed the donuts also. Thanks to all the parents, relatives, and friends who visited school and went to lunch with the children. We appreciate and thank Patty Henschen for all the work and effort that she goes to each year to provide us with the excellent lunch. We also thank Jean Heyen, Jeannine Muchow, Twila Clark, and Betty Kovalik for their help in the kitchen. A special thanks to Pastor Barth from St. John’s, New Berlin, for leading us in chapel. The faculty representatives who organized our NLSW were Mrs. Pryer and Mrs. Stuenkel. Thanks you, ladies!

REPORT CARDS: Third Quarter report cards will be sent home on Wednesday, March 24th. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s teacher.

CONFIRMATION TRIP: The Confirmation Trip is today, March 19th, and tomorrow, March 20th..

MUSIC FESTIVAL: The Music Festival was held at Lutheran High School in conjunction with their Brunch on March 14. We are proud of our students who participated with their various musical selections. The results are as follows: Allison K. (Piano) - 1st place; Brooke L. (Piano) - 1st place; Victoria P. (Harp & Vocal) - 1st place & 2nd place; and Ashley V., Katy S., & Tori Hasenyager (Vocal Trio) - 1st place.

TRANSPORTATION REIMBURSEMENT: We have received the transportation reimbursement information. Please come in and sign up at your earliest convenience. The person filling out the form will need to have his or her social security number for the form.

LHS NEWS: Our 6th graders have the opportunity to visit Lutheran High School on Friday, March 26th, from 9:00 AM until noon. This gives the students an exposure to high school life and helps them begin thinking about their high school years. If anyone else would like to spend a day visiting Lutheran High School, contact Mr. Kammerlohr ,and he will match the student up with a LHS student for the day.
LHS received word from the IHSA that Lutheran High has been approved as a Regional host site for the 2004 Baseball Regionals. Thanks to the hard work done by many volunteers to maintain the field and build an announcer’s booth, and the donation of an outdoor PA system, they will be proud to host the games on May 22 & 24.

PTL TRIVIA NIGHT: Thanks to all who participated in the 2nd annual PTL Trivia Night. It was a lot of fun. Make plans now to attend next year’s 3rd annual PTL Trivia Night! A big thanks to all the people who worked on this project both in preparation for the evening and for their help during the event.
