Principally Speaking:

The weather is finally getting a little warmer and I can just imagine how great everything will soon be. Spring is just a reminder of how majestic that first creation was.

"In the beginning God created…" Genesis 1:1.

We are scheduling the week of April 19 for administering the achievement tests for this school year. If possible, please do not schedule appointments during this week that may take your child out of school. Children need to get plenty of rest and eat well so that they can do their best.

God bless you all as we watch the world come alive with color and our children can get some fresh air.

-Dan Henschen

NOTE: The next "Charger" will be sent home with our students April 01. If you would like to post something in our newsletter, articles need to be in by the Wednesday before they go home to allow time for them to be typed and printed. For more information, please call Lora at 529-3307.

March Chapel Offerings

This month Chapel Offerings will go to Camp CILCA.

*Reminder, everyone is invited to attend chapel at 8:45 am on Wednesdays with our children. The schedule for chapel leaders in the next few weeks is:

March 24 - TBA March 31 - Pastor Koschmann

April 14 - Pastor Hennig April 21 - Dan Henschen

Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. (Ex. 20:8) All families that have children enrolled at Concordia are expected to attend Church services, Sunday School and Bible Class not less that twice per month. The Board of Christian Day School considers this opportunity to study God’s Word very important. Our life can be much more meaningful when God’s Word is understood and practiced. Faith needs to be fed in order for it to grow. There are now more opportunities for you to worship with the Lent season.

Anytime you have a question please do not hesitate to call the office. -Thank you, Sharon & Lora

If you would like to donate and help us have another great VBS, please designate your donation for VBS on the memo line of your check. Also, we will soon be looking for volunteers and for all of our great kids to sign up and join us. So write down the dates and plan on attending another great year of VBS.

Topic: Sweet Talk (03-10-10)

(Have you ever sweet talked someone into doing something for you?

The time I sweet talked someone into something is when my friend was over.

My chore is to let the dogs out of their cages and outside. So while we were playing downstairs, which is where the dogs are, I told him that if he let the dogs out for me

I would give him a piece of candy. -Adam (6th grade)

Yes, I have sweet taked my cousin into helping me before. I made a deal with him.

If he helped me with my chores I would let him play my PS3.

-Dylan (6th grade)

If I were to sweet talk someone into doing a chore for me this is what I would do.

First, I would make them think that the chore was super fun.

Next, I would let them do the chore and then finally, I would tell them they did a great job.

Topic: Potatoes Anyone? (03-17-10)

I like my mom’s French fries. They are fresh cut with salt. I like to dip them in

homemade ketchup. If you ever try them you will definitely go back for more.

-Hunter (5th grade)

Forget the mac n’ cheese and give me some fries with cheese. All that cheese on top of my crispy fries make my mouth say MMM good! -Austin (6th grade)

I like my potatoes fried. They are not French fries, but diced and fried in the pan. They come out juicy and delicious and that is just the way I like them! -Logan (6th grade)

My favorite way to eat potatoes is my mom’s mashed potatoes. I love them with gravy.

I like my mom’s mashed potatoes because she makes them out of love for me.

-Katie (5th grade)
