PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING: We just are finishing National Lutheran Schools Week, and with help of many volunteers we had a great week of celebration. The theme this year was “Transforming lives” based on II Corinthians 3:18. Thanks to Nona Stuenkel, Amy Reed, and all the volunteers for all their work.
The basketball season is finished ending with a Class C first place championship in the GSLAA tournament. It was a terrific finish, but even better was to watch the improvement in the athletes over the season, the excellent coaching, and all the work of the many volunteers. Thanks for a great season.
God bless you all as we look forward to warmer temperatures.
Dan Henschen
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME BEGINS: Please remember that Sunday, March 11 to set your clocks forward.
LENTEN WORHIP: Our Lenten services continue each Wednesday evening at 7:00. A meal is available before the services (5:30) to make it easier to attend church without first having to prepare a meal. Come and join us for fellowship during the meal and worship at 7:00.
CAMPBELL SOUP: Concordia students are collecting labels and UPC codes for items used in the classroom. Please save these items and bring them to school or church. Thank you for supporting our school and students.
MUSIC CONTEST: The Music Contest will again be held at Lutheran High School in conjunction with their Brunch on March 18. We have several students participating in the music contest. Come out and enjoy the delicious food and the musical talents of the children in our area Lutheran schools.
LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOLARSHIPS: Students currently attending Lutheran High School that graduated from Concordia need to send a letter to receive scholarship money from Concordia PTL. If you have any questions please see a PTL officer for more information.

QUOTABLE QUOTES:
WHO’S IN HEAVEN
I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven’s door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
By the lights or its décor.
But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp-
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics, the trash.
There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.
Herb, who I always thought
Was rotting in hell,
Was sitting pretty on a seat,
Looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, “What’s the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How’d all these sinners get up here?
God must’ve made a mistake.
And why’s everyone so quiet,
So somber? Give me a clue?”
“Hush, child,” said He, “They’re all in shock.
No one thought they’d see you.”
