Principally Speaking:
Our theme this year is "In the beginning God created…" Gen. 1:1 and with it we are reminded from where this world came, but it does not end there. God is the only one that truly can create. Man needs something to start with when he makes his things. God created everything out of nothing. When the economy is struggling and no one seems to remind ourselves that we have a God that truly is able to create. He will take care of us even if it takes creating something out of nothing.
The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand you satisfy the desire of every living thing. Psalm 145: 15-16
-Dan HenschenNOTE:
The next "Charger" will be sent home with our students March 05. This month Chapel Offerings will go to our Bethesda Buddies.*Reminder, everyone is invited to attend chapel at 8:45 am on Wednesdays with our children. The schedule for chapel leaders in the next few weeks is:
March 03 - March 12 - Pastor Hennig
March 17 - Dan Henschen March 24 -
Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. (Ex. 20:8) All families that have children enrolled at Concordia are expected to attend Church services, Sunday School and Bible Class not less that twice per month. The Board of Christian Day School considers this opportunity to study God’s Word very important. Our life can be much more meaningful when God’s Word is understood and practiced. Faith needs to be fed in order for it to grow. There are now more opportunities for you to worship with the Lent season.
Anytime you have a question please do not hesitate to call the office. -Thank you, Sharon & Lora

Weekly Writing Corner:
As seen in Wednesday editions of the SJR.Topic: Heart-Thumping Ideas (02-10-10)
(What do you like to do to exercise your heart?)The things I do to exercise my heart are riding my bike
around my neighborhood
and I also play volleyball, basketball and track.
-Kaitlyn (5th grade)
What I like to do to exercise my heart is to play kickball. It takes
endurance if you play for a while. Also, it is very invigorating! It is also fun so you don’t get board and you don’t focus on just exercise.
-Adam (6th grade)
An activity I like to do to get my heart going is play basketball with my friends.
-Samuel 6th grade)
And one more...Weekly Writing Corner
Topic: The Best Olympic Game (02-17-10)
I like hockey best. I like hockey because you get to ice skate
and try and score goals. I think that it is not about winning,
but about having fun while you are playing the game!
-Dylan (6th grade)
The event I like most is bobsledding. The reason why I like bobsledding the most is because
I think it is amazing how 4 people can fit in that small sled.
-Robby (5th grade)
Like speed skating the most. I like it because people skate around the rink so fast. It is also cool how they can keep their balance while they are doing it. I like the competition.
-Alec (5th grade)
