PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING: Christmas is just about here, and I am sure that preparations for all you are in full swing. Let us all remember, that preparing our hearts for Jesus is the most important. As parents it si also important that we teach our children how to prepare for Christ’s coming, so take time this Christmas to worship as a family.
Remember if we have excessive snow or cold that we follow what District 186 does for school closings. All Day Preschool will stay open if it is possible and safe to do so.
The staff at Concordia wishes all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. Luke 2:7a

KINDERGARTEN ROUND-UP: The Kindergarten Round-Up is coming soon. It will be on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. All prospective Kindergarten students and their parents are welcome to visit Concordia’s Kindergarten room. If you know of a child that will be in kindergarten next fall, please talk to the parents about our school. We will be happy to make contact with them and explain to them about Christian education. We are looking forward to meeting the new class of Kindergarteners!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!: We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, comforting words, cards, gifts, and memorials for Dad/Grandpa. These kindnesses have made this sad time for us easier to bear. Your prayers were definitely felt. May the Lord bless each and everyone of you!

Quotable Quotes:
T’WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
T’was the night before Christmas and all through the town
Not a sign of Baby Jesus was anywhere to be found.
The people were all busy with Christmas time chores
Like decorating, and baking, and shopping in stores.
No one sang, “Away in a manger, no crib for a bed”.
Instead, they sang of Santa all dressed up in red.
Mama watched decorating shows, Papa drank beer from a tap.
As hour upon hour the presents they’d wrap.
When what from the TV did they suddenly hear?
‘Cept an ad...which told of a big sale at Sears.
So away to the mall they all flew like a flash…
Buying things on credit...and others with cash!
And as they made their way home from their trip to the mall,
Did they think about Jesus? Oh, no...not at all.
Their lives were so busy with their Christmas time things
No time to remember Christ Jesus, the King.
There were presents to wrap and cookies to bake.
How could they stop and remember Who died for their sake?
To pray to the Savior...they had no time to stop
Because they needed more time to “Shop till they dropped!”
On Wal-Mart! On K-Mart! On Target! On Penny’s!
On Hallmark! On Zales! A quick lunch at Denny’s.
From the big stores downtown to the stores at the mall
They would dash away, dash away, and visit them all.
And up on the roof, there arose such a clatter
As Grandpa hung icicle lights up on his brand new step ladder.
He hung lights that would flash. He hung lights that would twirl.
Yet he never once prayed to Jesus...Light of the World.
Christ’s eyes...how they twinkle! Christ’s spirit...how merry!
Christ’s love...how enormous! All our burdens...He’ll carry!
So instead of being busy, overworked, and uptight
Let’s put Christ back in Christmas and enjoy the good night!
Merry Christmas!!
CHRISTMAS WISHES: The faculty and staff of Concordia Lutheran School wish you and your family a most Christ-filled Christmas season. It is our wish that you be blessed as you again recall the wondrous love given through Jesus’ birth to you. It is our prayer that the Lord provide us opportunities to share that News so others will have the same “peace” and “joy” that gives meaning and purpose to our lives.
